Dockers v Power preview

Counter to their three straight wins prior, Fremantle were humbled by a Carlton side on the rise, 12.9.81 to 7.8 50 at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium. The Dockers return to WA this Sunday where they meet a Port Adelaide side on the charge and looking for three straight wins.

It is almost unthinkable that Ken Hinkley’s men are a win outside the eight after starting the year so disastrously 0-5. But they are and have lost just two games since that streak.

As a bonus, several stars were expected back for Port Adelaide, including Orazio Fantasia, Zak Butters – pushing to return from a medial ligament sprain – and even ruckman Scott Lycett (shoulder) was a chance.

None of those three however will play on Sunday with Port Adelaide taking an extra cautious approach with Fantasia. Butters failed a fitness test and Lycett will return via the SANFL. However, Robbie Gray has been named on the interchange.

Freo are unlikely to have as many changes with Heath Chapman set to miss another week with a hamstring injury and Michael Walters (calf) is also a query.
