Since the return of Sam Walsh (who is averaging 6.5 clearances) the Blues have looked more confident and direct heading forward.

DEES UNSTOPPABLE DEFENCE DUO

Melbourne are the number one defensive team in the entire competition, conceding just 66.3 points per game and this has a whole lot to do with superstars Jake Lever and Steven May.
Lever and May both average over seven marks per game and are arguably the only defensive duo in the competition that will be able to shut down the sharpshooting Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow for Carlton, ultimately deciding the game with a low scoring Blues output.
