A truly international field will greet the starter in the $1.5 million Tancred Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.
A field of 14 has been declared for Australia’s only Group 1 weight-for-age contest at a distance further than 2040m.
Eleven runners were bred in the Northern Hemisphere and three in New Zealand leaving the field without an Australian-bred runner.
William Haggas is back with his proven veteran Dubai Honour, the winner of his two Australian starts in 2023 during the Sydney autumn carnival.
Vauban will line up after winning his first start under the care of Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott in the Group 3 Sky High Stakes while Chris Waller will produce two imports having their first Australian starts, Zarir and River Of Stars.
Waller’s other runners are Land Legend, Asterix, Zechariah and Kinesiology.
Ciaron Maher runs two Group 1 winning stayers, Caulfield Cup winner Duke De Sessa and last year’s Sydney Cup winner Circle Of Fire while Bjorn Baker has the 2023 Tancred winner Arapaho.
The other Group 1 winners in the race are last year’s Queensland Derby winner Warmonger and Kiwi mare La Crique.

The Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) will showcase the Sydney debut of star Victorian filly Treasurethe Moment.
The Matt Laurie-trained daughter of Alabama Express will clash with eight opponents including former Kiwi Group 1 placegetter Movin Out, VRC Oaks placegetter Powers Of Opal, Group 2 winner Real Class and Kembla Grange Classic winner Verona Rose.

The Rosehill track was rated a soft (5) at acceptance time. The rail will be in the 6-metre position on Saturday.
