Caulfield Cup-winning jockey Harry Coffey has welcomed the chance to ride Revelare on Saturday, even if only to warm the saddle.
The progressive stayer, trained by dual Melbourne Cup-winning horseman Robert Hickmott, has won five on the trot under regular rider Ryan Hurdle.
Natural lightweight Coffey got the call-up to ride short-priced favourite Revelare at 54kg on Saturday in the 2400m Open Handicap at Caulfield.

Revelare has carried between 56.5kg and 59.5kg the past five starts, rising in grade from a 0-64 Seymour win to consecutive Flemington triumphs, including a 2000m Benchmark 84.
Hurdle could not make the weight for Saturday on such short notice.
“From my understanding, it’s Ryan’s ride regardless of what happens Saturday,” Coffey said.
“My ability to ride light has obviously got me the opportunity to ride him.”
Revelare is a $1.45 favourite to win from Bankers Choice ($9), Mystery Island ($9.50) and Le Don De Vie ($10).
The in-form aspiring Cups candidate is being tested at 2400m for the first time on Saturday.

Revelare quickened nicely out of a jam to win at Flemington two back and then sustained a strong gallop last start to outstay opposition a fortnight ago.
“Not many win races like he has with the ease that he has,” Coffey said.
“Regardless of what grade you are, and he has been doing it at city level, this time of year even in ratings races it’s a little bit stronger because there’s good races.
“I’ve been in races he’s in and he seems to do things with a lot of ease, that’s always a good sign of a horse that has a bit of potential.
“Looks like he’s got a turn of foot, which is helpful in sticky positions, and he’s been able to show that.
“(The) 2400m is a new challenge, if he can bring that turn of foot after resting in the run you’d say he’d be not only a good chance in this race but a horse to continue to follow.”

Coffey, who has seven rides at Caulfield including Leave No Doubt in the $1m The Showdown (1200m), will follow Caulfield Cup winner Duke De Sessa in two weeks’ time in either Melbourne or Sydney.
Duke De Sessa won first-up at Caulfield and then placed second last start in the Australian Cup Prelude (1800m) at Flemington.
Duke De Sessa is likely to head to Sydney for the Group 1 Tancred Stakes (2400m) on March 29 but the Australian Cup (2000m), same day at Flemington, remains an option.
“I’m really excited about what is coming with him,” Coffey said.
“It was a great run last Saturday, no luck but when the gap did come he showed a great turn of foot on non-preferred ground with a big weight, which is hard for stayers to do.
“He nearly stole the race back off Middle Earth after it looked like we couldn’t win.
“I’m trying not to leave his side, I’ll drive the truck (to Sydney) if I have to!”
