BEST BET
UNDER MY THUMB (Race 8 No.6): Deserved winner last start at Cranbourne, placed in all four starts previously, and put two lengths on the opposition quite quickly. Could go on with the job here.

NEXT BEST
BRAZENLY (Race 1 No.5): Set to run a cheeky race down in weights with talented apprentice Stephanie Hateley aboard. Sped out to lead last start at Cranbourne but faded late to run third behind the smart Scampi. Could be hard to catch around the tight Yarra Valley circuit.

MILETUS (Race 5 No.3): Drawn poorly but has the tactical speed to cross and hold a prominent position under jockey Craig Newitt. Miletus has won and placed second-up previously. Only narrowly beaten first-up in stronger grade.

VALUE BET
SUNDAY GEORGIE (Race 6 No.8): Won on debut in January and tipped out straight away for a break. The three-year-old filly, up against older horses here, has more upside than her opposition.

EL PIBE DE ORO (Race 7 No.4): Back in provincial company after he placed third at The Valley last start. Won on debut at Camperdown and then no luck at Kilmore. Should appreciate the rise to 1200m.

THE JOCKEY – JAMIE MOTT
JAHANGIR (Race 1 No.3), EFFLEURE (Race 2 No.8), TASTE OF WINE (Race 3 No.10), CHEERS (Race 4 No.6), BANCORY BAY (Race 6 No.2) and REGAL TYCOON (Race 7 No.7).
